Country Grits And Sausage

  1. Bring water to a boil; stir in grits.
  2. Return to a boil; reduce heat and cook 4 minutes and continue to stir.
  3. Combine grits and cheese.
  4. Stir until cheese melts.
  5. Combine eggs, milk, thyme and garlic powder in small bowl; mix well.
  6. Add a small amount of hot grits mixture to egg mixture.
  7. Stir well.
  8. Stir egg mixture into remaining hot grits.
  9. Add sausage and stir well. Pour into a greased 12 x 8 x 2-inch baking dish.
  10. Bake at 350u0b0 for 30 minutes or until set.
  11. Yield:
  12. 8 servings.
