Oatmeal-Applesauce Walnut Bread(This Is A Low-Fat Bread.)
- 2/3 c. firmly packed brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 c. unsweetened applesauce
- 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 tsp. ground cinnamon
- 1 1/2 c. uncooked regular oats
- 1/3 c. chopped walnuts
- 1 c. raisins
- 1/3 c. vegetable oil
- vegetable cooking spray
- 2 tsp. uncooked regular oats
- Combine brown sugar and egg in a large bowl, beating at medium speed of an electric mixer until smooth.
- Stir in applesauce. Sift together flour, baking powder, soda, salt and cinnamon. Gradually add to egg mixture, stirring to blend.
- Add 1 1/2 cups oats, raisins, walnuts and oil; stirring well.
