Morning Crispies

  1. In a large mixing bowl, dissolve yeast in water; let stand for 5 minutes.
  2. Add milk, 1/2 cup sugar, oil, salt, eggs, extract and 2 cups flour; beat well.
  3. Add enough remaining flour to make a soft dough.
  4. Turn onto a floured board; knead until smooth and elastic, about 6 to 8 minutes.
  5. Place in a greased bowl, turning once to grease top.
  6. Cover and let rise in a warm place until doubled, about 1 hour.
  7. Punch the dough down.
