Mocha Dessert Bread
- 2 c. sifted flour
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 c. sour cream
- 1/2 c. white sugar
- 1/2 c. brown sugar
- 1/4 c. milk
- 2 eggs
- 1/4 c. softened butter
- 3 tsp. instant coffee
- 1 tsp. orange extract
- 2 tsp. water
- 1/2 c. chopped pecans
- 1/2 c. mini chocolate chips
- Preheat oven to 350u0b0.
- Grease a 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan.
- In a small bowl, stir together coffee, extract and water until coffee is dissolved.
- Sift together first 5 ingredients.
- Combine sour cream, sugars, milk and eggs in a bowl.
- Add coffee mixture and beat well. Gradually add dry ingredients and butter; mix until well blended. Stir in nuts and chocolate chips.
- Bake for 65 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean from center.
- Yields 1 loaf.
