Beef Macaroni Dinner
- 2 tsp. butter
- 1 1/2 lb. ground chuck
- 2 c. chopped onions
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
- 1 (6 oz.) can mushrooms (undrained)
- 1/2 lb. elbow macaroni, cooked and drained
- 1 1/2 Tbsp. chili powder
- 2 Tbsp. salt
- 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1 Tbsp. red wine vinegar
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 1/4 tsp. sugar
- 4 drops Tabasco sauce
- 1/2 lb. Cheddar cheese
- Brown meat and onions in butter.
- Mix all other ingredients except cheese.
- Cook and drain elbow macaroni.
- Save macaroni until last.
- Cook all ingredients including meat and onions in frying pan for about 1 hour.
- Mix elbow macaroni, meat mixture and cheese in a large serving dish.
- Arrange triangles of cheese on top.
