Cheerios Nuggets

  1. Heat oven to 250u0b0.
  2. Grease two 9 x 13-inch pan.
  3. Heat brown sugar, margarine, corn syrup and salt in a 2-quart saucepan over medium heat, stirring constantly until bubbly around edges.
  4. Cook, uncovered, stirring occasionally for 2 minutes longer.
  5. Remove from heat; stir in baking soda until foamy and light colored. Pour over cereal, peanuts and raisins in greased 4-quart bowl. Stir until mixture is coated.
  6. Spread evenly in pans.
  7. Bake 15 minutes.
  8. Stir.
  9. Let stand just until cool, about 10 minutes. Loosen mixture with metal spatula.
  10. Let stand until firm, about 30 minutes.
  11. Break into bite size pieces.
  12. Makes about 10 cups of snack.
