Petal Pink Angel Cake

  1. Preheat oven to 375u0b0.
  2. Prepare cake batter following package directions.
  3. Fold in 1/2 tsp. almond extract.
  4. Place 3 cups batter in medium bowl.
  5. Fold in 3 drops red food coloring.
  6. Spoon half of white batter into ungreased 10-inch tube pan.
  7. Cover with pink batter.
  8. Top with remaining white batter.
  9. Bake following package directions; cool.
  10. Place whipping cream, gelatin and remaining almond extract in large bowl. Beat at medium speed.
  11. Add confectioners sugar; beat at high speed until soft peaks form. Tint with 3 drops red food coloring.
  12. Frost cake.
  13. Makes 12 servings.
