Baked Mostaccioli
- 8 oz. mostaccioli noodles, cooked
- 1 1/2 lb. ground beef
- 1/2 c. chopped onion
- 1/4 c. chopped green pepper
- 1 clove minced garlic
- 1 (28 oz.) can tomatoes, cut up
- 2 (8 oz) cans tomato sauce
- 1 (8 oz.) can tomato paste
- 1 (4 oz.) can mushrooms
- 1/2 c. water
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. crushed basil
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
- 1 large bay leaf
- 8 oz. pkg. shredded Mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 c. Parmesan cheese, grated
- Brown ground beef, onion, green pepper and garlic; drain.
- Add undrained tomatoes, sauce, paste, undrained mushrooms, water and all spices.
- Bring to a boil; reduce heat.
- Cover and simmer for 30 minutes.
- Remove bay leaf and add cooked noodles.
