Welcoming Wassail

  1. Whip heavy cream together with confectioner's sugar until soft peaks form.
  2. Flavor with 1 TBSP Grand Marnier.
  3. Set aside in refidgerator.
  4. Heat apple cidar and brown sugar together in a large sauce pan to a boil.
  5. Stir until sugar dissolves.
  6. Remove from heat.
  7. Add rum, brandy and remaining Grand Marnier.
  8. Stir in spices.
  9. Add lemon and orange slices.
  10. Heat over medium heat for 2 minutes.
  11. Do not boil.
  12. Pour into champagne glasses.
  13. Top each glass with whip ceam and freshly grated nutmeg.
