Freda Mcclure'S Deluxe Baked Beans
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1 lb. bacon, cut in small pieces
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 1 bell pepper, chopped
- 1 (16 oz.) can pork and beans
- 1 (16 oz.) can pinto beans
- 1 (16 oz.) can lima beans
- 1 (16 oz.) can kidney beans
- 1 tsp. chili powder
- 1/2 c. barbecue sauce
- 1/2 c. catsup
- 1/3 c. Lea & Perrins
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/4 c. brown sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. pepper
- Brown ground beef and drain.
- Fry bacon and drain.
- Cook onion and pepper in bacon and ground beef until tender.
- Drain all beans and save juice.
- Mix the next eight ingredients and add half the juice from the vegetables.
- Add the meat mixture.
- If too dry add more of the juice from the vegetables.
- Bake at 350u0b0, stir occasionally, for 1 to 1 1/2 hours.
- Can be frozen.
