Bacon And Cheese Puff Pie
- bacon, fried crisp, drained and crushed
- 1 can quick crescent dinner rolls
- 1 tomato, sliced
- 3 eggs, separated
- 1/2 c. flour
- pepper
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 5 slices American cheese
- 3/4 c. sour cream
- From crust in ungreased 9-inch pie plate with dinner rolls. Sprinkle with bacon, top with tomato slices.
- Season with salt and pepper.
- Place cheese slices on top.
- Beat egg whites until stiff and put aside.
- In large bowl, combine yolks, sour cream, flour, salt and pepper.
- Blend well.
- Gently fold in whites until a few lumps remain.
- Do not over-blend.
- Pour into crust over cheese. Sprinkle with paprika.
- Bake at 350u0b0 for 35 to 40 minutes or until knife comes out clean and crust is brown.
- Can be refrigerated up to 4 hours before baking.
- Can substitute onion salt for salt in puff topping.
