Dutch Apple Cake
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 4 medium cooking apples
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 cup vegetable oil
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 1 cup walnuts
- powdered sugar icing
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1/4 vanilla
- 1 1/2 tablespoons milk
- Preheat oven 350u0b0F.
- Grease and lightly flour a 9 in pan.
- Stir flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon. Peel, core, and finely chop apples;set aside.
- In a large mixer bowl stir together eggs and vanilla; beat on high speed of electric mixer for 2 minute or light. Gradually add oil, beating for 2 minute or until thick. Gradually beat in sugar. Add dry ingredients, apples, and walnuts alternately to beaten mixture, beating well after each addition. Beat at medium speed for 3 minutes.
- Turn batter into prepared.
- Bake for 55 to 60 min or until cake test done.
- Place cake on wire rack to cool for 10 to 15 minute
- Removed from pan; cool throughly on rack.
- Drizzle with powdered sugar icing.
- Powdered Sugar Icing.
- Mix everything together; until pouring consistency.
- If you need to add more milk a little at a time.
