Applesauce Fruit Cake

• 1 c. butter
• 1 c. white sugar
• 1 c. brown sugar
• 2 eggs
• 4 c. sifted flour
• 2 c. raisins
• 1/2 c. chopped candied cherries
• 1 c. candied pineapple
• 1 c. candied fruit mix
• 1 c. nut meats
• 1 tsp. soda
• 2 tsp. baking powder
• 3 tsp. cinnamon
• 1 tsp. ground cloves
• 1 tsp. ground ginger
• 1 tsp. vanilla

1. Mix fruits, nuts, spices and baking powder in flour.
2. Mix soda in applesauce.
3. Cream margarine, sugar and eggs.
4. Stir in flour mixture with applesauce.
5. Grease angel food pan or loaf pan.
6. Pour mixture into pans.
7. Bake in a 325u0b0 oven for 1 hour.
8. Test for doneness.
