Holiday Fruit Punch Recipe

  1. Put sugar in a large saucepan with 2 c. (473 ml) water.
  2. Place over medium flame and stir till sugar dissolves.
  3. Add in cranberry juice, cinnamon sticks and cloves.
  4. Reduce heat to very low and simmer for 5 min.
  5. Remove from heat.
  6. Strain liquid through a fine sieve or possibly cheesecloth into a large punch bowl and allow to cold.
  7. Add in lemon juice, orange juice and pineapple juice.
  8. Chill till serving time.
  9. Add in the ginger ale and float thin slices of fruit (orange, lemon and lime) on top of the punch just before the guests arrive.
