Green Pepper Steak And Rice Recipe
- 1 1/2 pound round steak, cut in 1/3 inch strips
- 1 tbsp. paprika
- 2 tbsp. butter
- 1/2 c. cooking wine
- 1/4 c. water
- 2 teaspoon garlic pwdr
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1 tbsp. corn starch
- 2 tbsp. soy sauce
- 2 c. green peppers, sliced
- 1 c. sliced onions
- 2 lg. tomatoes, quartered
- 2 c. warm cooked rice
- Brown steak with paprika.
- Using high heat, brown meat rapidly in butter on all sides.
- Reduce heat.
- Add in wine, soy sauce and seasonings.
- Simmer 25 min.
- Blend corn starch and water.
- Stir into meat.
- Arrange onions, green peppers, and tomatoes over steak.
- Replace cover and simmer 10 to 15 min.
- Serve over rice.
