Chinese Pepper Steak

  1. Trim fat from the steak and cut in 1/8-inch thick slices (for easier slicing, freeze the steak for about an hour before cutting). Heat the oil in a wok or large pan.
  2. Add ginger (if fresh ginger is used, use a tablespoon instead of a teaspoon) and garlic.
  3. Add steak slices and cook rapidly (1 minute or until the meat is light brown).
  4. Remove the meat with a slotted spoon.
