No-Bake Peppermint Cookie Pie
- 1 pkg. (12.6 oz.) JELL-O No Bake OREO Dessert
- 4 Tbsp. margarine or butter, melted
- 1-1/3 cups cold milk
- 1-1/2 cups COOL WHIP Whipped Topping, thawed
- 1/4 tsp. peppermint extract
- 5 (1/2 oz each) candy canes, crushed (about 1/3 cup), divided
- In a small mixing bowl, stir together the crust mix with the melted butter or margarine.
- Press into the bottom and up the sides of a 9 inch pie plate.
- Set aside.
- Pour the milk into a medium mixing bowl.
- Add the filling mix.
- Beat with a mixer on low speed for 30 seconds, then on medium speed for 3 minutes.
- Add in the peppermint extract and beat for 30 more seconds.
- Gently fold in the whipped topping.
- Reserve 1/2 cup of the cookie pieces, folding in the remaining cookie pieces.
- Stir in the 1/2 cup crushed peppermint candies.
- Spoon the prepared filling into the pie crust and spread evenly.
- Top the pie with the remaining cookie pieces and additional crushed peppermint candies.
- Refrigerate for at least one hour before cutting and serving.
- Cover any leftovers and store in the refrigerator.
