Chocolate Fudge Frosting
- 8 oz. unsweetened chocolate
- 2 sticks unsalted butter
- 2 lb. powdered sugar
- 1 cup whipping cream
- 1-1/3 tbsp. vanilla
- Melt chocolate and butter in a double boiler; cool to room temperature.
- Mix the powdered sugar, whipping cream, and vanilla until well blended.
- Stir in the melted chocolate.
- If necessary, let the frosting sit until thick enough to spread with a knife (should only need to let it set if your chocolate was still warm).
- This frosting is very rich and tastes like fudge!
