Butterless butter chicken (modified from Everyday Indian cookbook)

  1. Cook onion in oil till golden brown.
  2. Add garlic and ginger.
  3. Cook 30 seconds.
  4. Add tomato paste, garum masala, and Tumeric and cook for 1 minute on medium heat.
  5. Add chicken and cook til partly done, about 5 to 7 minutes.
  6. Add coconut milk and water.
  7. Cook til chicken is done.
  8. Serve with basmati rice
