Shrimp & Grits Bowl with Spicy Cream Sauce

  1. Spicy Cream Sauce: Mix ingredients in medium saucepan.
  2. Bring to boil on medium heat; simmer on medium-low heat 15 min.
  3. or until sauce is reduced to 3 cups (or reduced to 1/2 cup for trial recipe), stirring occasionally.
  4. Keep warm.
  5. Shrimp & Andouille Sausage Mixture: Saute sausage, peppers, onions and garlic (in trial-size portions) in hot oil in large skillet on medium heat 6 min.
  6. Add shrimp, tomatoes, okra and seasonings.
  7. ; cook 5 to 6 min.
  8. or until shrimp are done.
  9. Keep warm.
  10. Cheesy Grits: Bring water, broth and milk to boil in large saucepan on medium heat.
  11. Gradually whisk in grits; cover.
  12. Simmer on medium-low heat 15 to 18 min.
  13. or until thickened, stirring occasionally.
  14. Remove from heat.
  15. Add cheese and black pepper; stir until cheese is melted.
  16. Keep warm.
  17. For each serving: Spoon 1 cup Cheesy Grits into serving bowl; top with 1 cup Shrimp & Andouille Sausage Mixture.
  18. Drizzle with 2 Tbsp.
  19. Spicy Cream Sauce.
  20. Sprinkle with 1 Tbsp.
  21. chopped parsley and about 1/2 Tbsp.
  22. bacon.
