T-Bone Steak with Bacon-Mushroom Sauce
- 2 beef T-bone steaks (1 lb./450 g), 1 inch thick Safeway 1 lb For $5.99 thru 02/09
- 2 slices bacon, cut into 1/4-inch pieces Rite Aid 2 For $7.00 thru 02/06
- 1 pkg. (1/2 lb./225 g) sliced fresh mushrooms
- 1/4 cup Kraft Original BBQ Sauce
- 1/4 cup dry sherry or water
- 1 tsp. brown sugar
- Heat barbecue to medium.
- Grill steaks 7 to 8 min.
- on each side or to medium doneness (160 degrees F).
- Meanwhile, cook bacon in large nonstick skillet on medium heat 5 min.
- or until crisp, stirring occasionally.
- Drain bacon on paper towels.
- Discard drippings from skillet.
- Add mushrooms to skillet; cook 5 min., stirring occasionally.
- Stir in bacon, barbecue sauce, sherry and sugar.
- Bring to boil; simmer on medium-low heat 5 min., stirring occasionally.
- Serve steaks topped with mushroom sauce.
