Fresh Tomato Sauce with Genoa Salami & Penne
- 1/2 bags Penne
- 4 ounces, weight Genoa Salami, Thinly Sliced And Cut In Half
- 1/4 cups Diced Onion
- 1 whole Small Hot Pepper, Or A Dash Of Dried Hot Pepper
- 1 whole Red Pepper Chopped
- 3 whole Large Ripe Tomatoes
- 1 cup Fresh Basil, Chopped
- 1/4 teaspoons Salt
- 2 dashes Black Pepper To Taste
- 1/2 teaspoons Wondra Flour
- Parmesan Cheese, For Topping
- Prepare penne according to package directions.
- Chop up all your veggies.
- Saute onions, hot pepper and Genoa salami for 2 to 3 minutes.
- Add red bell pepper and saute for another minute.
- Add tomatoes, basil, salt and black pepper.
- Let the sauce simmer till tomatoes break down and make a nice sauce.
- At the very end, sprinkle in Wondra flour until sauce reaches desired thickness.
- Serve sauce on top of penne, and top with Parmesan cheese.
