Fourth of July Strawberry and Vanilla Ice Cream Cake

  1. Cut cake horizontally equally into four layers.
  2. Arrange bottom layer on a serving plate, spread with half of the strawberry ice cream.
  3. Immediately put in freezer.
  4. Spread second cake layer with vanilla ice cream, put over strawberry layer in freezer.
  5. Spread third cake layer with remaining strawberry ice cream, place over vanilla layer in freezer.
  6. Top with remaining cake layer.
  7. In a mixing bowl, beat cream until soft peaks form.
  8. Add sugar, beat until stiff peaks form.
  9. Frost top and sides of cake.
  10. Freeze until serving.
  11. Decorate with mini flags if desired.
