Easy Mac and Cheese with Turkey Kielbasa
- 2 packages Turkey Kielbasa (roughly 2 Pounds), Cut Lengthwise And Then Sliced Into 1 Inch Thick Pieces
- 1 whole Medium Onion, Diced
- 3 cups Hot Water
- 3 cups Skim Milk
- 1/2 teaspoons Ground Mustard
- 2 boxes Deluxe 2% Milk Macaroni And Cheese Dinners (I Use Kraft Brand, 5-7 Ounce Box), Unprepared
- 1 package Frozen Broccoli Florets (about 12 Ounces), Cooked
- Heat a large pot (or Dutch oven) on stove over medium-high heat.
- Add sliced kielbasa and onion to pot and heat/cook for about five minutes until onions are soft.
- Add water, milk, ground mustard and the macaroni (dont add the sauce packet at this time) to kielbasa and bring to boil.
- Decrease heat to low and cover.
- Simmer for 15 minutes or until most of the liquid is absorbed and the macaroni is tender, stirring often.
- Meanwhile, cook broccoli florets according to package directions and drain well.
- After 15 minutes, add cheese sauce packets to the macaroni/kielbasa and mix well.
- Add broccoli and stir together.
- Simmer over low heat, uncovered, until thickend and heated through, about 3-5 minutes.
- Turn off heat and let sit for a few minutes before serving.
