Strawberry Frosting
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 cup water
- 3 tablespoons strawberry Jell-O gelatin dessert
- 34 teaspoon cream of tartar
- 14 teaspoon salt
- 2 egg whites
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- Cook sugar, water, strawberry Jell-O powder, cream of tartar and dash salt together to boiling point and sugar is dissolved.
- Add slowly, while beating, to unbeaten egg whites in a thin stream.
- Beat continuously until stiff peaks are formed.
- Add vanilla.
