Creamy Salmon Skillet with Pasta & Peppers
- 1 lb. fettuccine, uncooked
- 1 Tbsp. olive oil
- 8 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 each green and red pepper, chopped
- 1 onion, chopped King Sooper's 1 lb For $0.99 thru 02/09
- 2 cups light cream
- 15 fresh basil leaves, thinly sliced
- 1 tsp. Italian seasoning
- 1/2 tsp. ground black pepper
- 1/4 tsp. ground red pepper (cayenne)
- 1-1/2 cups KRAFT Finely Shredded Italian* Five Cheese Blend
- 1/2 lb. smoked salmon, thinly sliced
- Cook pasta as directed on package, omitting salt; drain.
- Heat oil in large skillet on medium heat.
- Add garlic; cook and stir 1 min.
- Add peppers and onions; cook and stir 4 min.
- or until crisp-tender.
- Add cream, basil and seasonings; stir on low heat until blended.
- Stir in cheese; cook and stir 3 min.
- or until cheese is completely melted and mixture is well blended.
- Add salmon; cook 2 to 3 min.
- until heated through, stirring occasionally.
- Add pasta; toss to coat.
