- 1 enough for the mold you're using Sushi rice
- 1 Mayonnaise
- I used a cake pan.
- Line it with ham.
- Mix flaked salmon, finely scrambled egg and so on into the sushi rice.
- (Think up your own original combinations!)
- Put half of the mixed rice in the pan and press down.
- Add another layer of ham, and cover with mayonnaise.
- Layer shiso leaves and sliced cheese.
- Add the rest of the sushi rice.
- Put on a heavy heatproof container or a weight, and press down on the sushi rice hard.
- The blogger I got the idea from used dictionaries and phone books as weights.
- Invert and unmold onto a serving plate.
- When you cut it, it looks like a cake.
- Your dinner table will look so sumptuous!
- I tried decorating it on top withFish Sausage Roses.
- Doesn't it look fancy?
- Another version decorated with flower shaped kamaboko.
