Mushroom, Sun-Dried Tomato and Olive Pizza
- 1 each 100% Whole Wheat Pizza Dough, prepared (click to view recipe)
- 1 cup marinara sauce or tomato sauce
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese divided
- 1/4 cup sundried tomatoes oil packed, drained and sliced
- 1 cup mushrooms white button or cremini, sliced, optional
- 1/4 cup artichoke hearts marinated, jared, sliced
- 1/4 cup red onion halved and thinly sliced
- 1/4 cup sweet red bell peppers, roasted slice into strips
- 1/2 cup green olives or black olives, drained, pitted and sliced
- 1 x red hot pepper sauce or other brand, for serving, optional
- Preheat the oven to 450F (230C).
- Roll the pizza dough into 12-inch circles or use prepared pizza crust.
- Spread the marinara sauce or tomato sauce over the pizza dough.
- Sprinkle 1/2 mozzarella cheese over sauce.
- Top with sun-dried tomatoes, mushrooms, artichoke hearts, red onions, bell peppers, and green olives.
- Sprinkle the remaining cheese on top.
- Bake for about 15 minutes, or until the crust is golden and brown and the cheese melts.
- Cool for a few minutes, cut into wedges.
- Serve warm with some red hot pepper sauce if desired.
