Country Sausage Gravy

  1. In a skillet fry all the sausage patties over medium heat until cooked through.
  2. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  3. Stir the flour into the sausage drippings.
  4. Slowly add the milk and salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Stir constantly and more milk if necessary.
  6. Crumble the cooked sausage into the gravy mixture.
  7. Continue stirring until the gravy is rich and creamy.
  8. Serve over toast or biscuits.
