Baked Brisket Of Beef Recipe

  1. Brown meat under broiler on both sides.
  2. Combine water, ketchup, onions, worcestershire sauce, chili pwdr, vinegar, 1 ts salt, paprika, and red pepper.
  3. Pour over beef in roasting pan.
  4. Bake, covered, for 4 - 5 hrs at 325 deg f. Check to see if done after 3 1/2 hrs.
  5. Bake only till meat is tender.
  6. Check occassionaly to see which liquid is still there, adding if necessary.
  7. Serves about 15 people.
