Green Tea Shortbread

  1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.
  2. In a medium sized bowl stir together flour, green tea powder, and salt.
  3. Set aside.
  4. In a large bowl, beat together butter and icing sugar until fluffy.
  5. Add flour mixture to the butter mixture and slowly blend until crumbly.
  6. Knead dough together until a ball forms.
  7. Roll dough out on a floured surface until approximately 1/8 to 1/4 inch thick.
  8. Using a 1 1/2 to 2 inch cookie cutter, cut out cookies and place on a parchment lined cookie sheet approx 1 inch apart.
  9. Bake for 10-15 minutes or until lightly golden in colour.
