Sweet N Sour Chicken Nuggets
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/4 cup pineapple juice
- 1/2 cup vinegar
- 1/3 cup ketchup (catsup)
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup diced or chunk pineapple (canned)
- 1/2 cup canned sliced carrots
- 15 frozen chicken nuggets
- 1 any other veggie u would like to add
- 3 cup cooked rice
- 1 hot oil for frying
- 2 tbsp corn starch and 1/4cup cold water ( for thickening)
- cook rice according to package directions.
- set aside.
- heat oil and fry nuggets until fully cooked.
- set aside on paper towel to drain excess grease..
- in a saucepan(for the sweet n sour sauce) place water, pineapple juice, vinegar and sugar.
- heat and stir until sugar is dissolved.
- add rest of sauce ingredients and heat until simmer.
- add pineapple and carrots to sauce.
- continue to simmer until fully heated.
- ( if u want to add other veggies do this now.. raw veggies with have to be sauteed or blanched until tender first)
- in a small cup mix corn starch and water.
- pour into sweet n sour sauce to thicken.
- stir continuously until thickened and heated through.
- place rice on a plate.
- arange 5 nuggets on top of the rice.
- then pour 1/3 of sauce all over..
- serve and enjoy..
