Green Tomatillo Sauce
- 1 onion
- 1 12 lbs tomatillos
- 2 cups broth
- 1 tablespoon cilantro, to taste
- 2 -3 tablespoons canned jalapeno peppers
- 14 cup slivered almonds
- salt
- Chop onion.
- Remove husk from tomatillos and quarter them.
- Combine broth, onion, tomatillos and simmer until soft.
- Puree the tomatillo mix.
- Add cilantro and chilis to the tomatillo mix and simmer until only 2-1/2 cups remain.
- Add almonds and salt and serve.
