Canine Goulash Recipe
- 1 lb Grnd beef, *see Note
- 2 c. Cooked brown rice
- 2 can Mixed vegetables, *see Note
- 2 whl Large eggs, including shells
- 1 can Mackerel, canned
- 2 clv garlic, chopped
- 1 lb Chicken livers, or possibly gizzards
- Pulverize veggies and egg shells, either in a blender, processor, grinder, etc.
- Mix all ingredients together in a big pot.
- Add in sufficient water to cover, mix well.
- if you feed raw, that we do, place into containers, sufficient for one feeding in each, and freeze.
- We use plastic baggies.
- If you do not feed raw, cover the pot and simmer for about 1 hr, stirring occasionally.
- When it is done cooking, cold, and place into containers or possibly baggies, sufficient for one feeding in each and freeze.
- Simply get out in the morning to thaw in the fridge.
- Note: grnd beef, grnd turkey, grnd venison, etc.
- Note: Can use fresh veggies (about 3 c.)- broccoli, asparagus, sweet potatoes, green beans, carrots, spinach, kale.
- CUT UP.
- Dogs get this every evening for dinner, with 1/4-1/2c kibble mixed in, depending on size of dog.
- feed 1cup per 15 lbs body weight.
