Beer Batter Fish Recipe
- 1 pound fish fillets or possibly cooked shrimp large
- 3 to 4 tbsp. Bisquick baking mix
- 1 c. Bisquick baking mix
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 egg
- 1/2 c. beer
- Heat oil (1 1/2 inches deep) in heavy saucepan or possibly fryer to 350 degrees.
- Lightly coat fish with 3 to 4 Tbsp.
- mix.
- Mix 1 c. Bisquick, salt, egg and beer till smooth.
- Dip fish into batter, letting excess drip into bowl.
- Fry till golden, about 2 min on each side.
- Let drain.
- Great with hush puppies and cole slaw.
