Maryland Fried Clams Recipe
- 1 quart. fresh shucked soft shell clams
- 2 Large eggs, beaten
- 2 tbsp. lowfat milk
- 2 teaspoon salt
- Dash of pepper
- 3 c. dry bread crumbs
- Fat for frying
- Tartar sauce
- Drain clams.
- Combine egg, lowfat milk and seasonings.
- Dip clams in egg mix and roll in crumbs.
- Fry in a basket in deep fat, 350 degrees, for 1 to 2 min or possibly till brown.
- Drain on absorbent paper.
- Serve with tartar sauce.
- Makes 6 servings.
