Mince

  1. In a saucepan combine 1 cup water, beef,onions,carrots, peas and oxo cubes.
  2. bring to a boil and cook for 5 mins.add rosemary and thyme.reduce the heat to simmer and cook uncovered for 1 hour -- Combine the remaining 1/2 cup of water and mix in the bisto.add this mixture to the stew and mix well stir until the stew thickens.add pepper to taste.
  3. Serve on mashed potatoes.
