HANAMI DANGO Cookies

  1. Preheat oven to 350F.
  2. Shift together flour and corn starch.
  3. Microwave the butter until it's melted.
  4. Combine the sugar and butter together.
  5. Combine flour and corn starch with a spatula.
  6. Divide the dough into 3.
  7. Add vanilla for one dough, add kinako for another, and add matcha for the rest.
  8. Form each dough into small balls.
  9. Place each color of cookie dough through wooden skewers.
  10. Place on the parchment paper.
  11. Wrap handle of skewer in an aluminum foil so it does not catch fire.
  12. Bake about 10 minutes.
  13. The cookies shouldn't be browned.
  14. When it cooled, roll in confections' sugar.
