Uncooked Strawberry Jam Recipe

  1. Prepare 8 (1/2 pint) jars.
  2. Keep warm.
  3. Have lids and bands in warm water.
  4. Wash berries, crush 1 layer at a time to make 3 1/2 c. fruit.
  5. Stir in sugar.
  6. Let stand 10 min.
  7. Add in lemon juice to pectin; add in all to berries.
  8. Stir 3-4 min till sugar is dissolved.
  9. Ladle into jars.
  10. Leave 1 inch at top.
  11. Seal.
  12. Let stand at room temperature till jam thickens, about 24 hrs.
  13. Label, date and store in refrigerator up to 3 months.
  14. Can freeze for 1 year.
