Basic Border Beef Recipe
- lb. boneless beef chuck
- 1 pkt onion soup mix
- 1 x 4 ounce. can diced green chilies
- 1 Tbsp. chili pwdr
- 1 tsp grnd cumin
- 1/4 c. minced fresh cilantro
- Place beef, soup mix, chilies, chili pwdr, and cumin into a crock pot and cover with water.
- Cook on high for 5-7 hrs.
- Remove meat to cutting board and shred.
- Strain contents of the crock pot and reserve the onions and chilies.
- Add in the onion and chilies to the meat and combine well.
- Add in the minced cilantro if you like.
