Beef Barley Skillet
- 1/4 pound ground beef
- 4 tablespoons onions chopped
- 2 tablespoons celery chopped
- 2 tablespoons green bell peppers chopped
- 18 teaspoon thyme
- 1/4 teaspoon sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
- 1 1/2 tablespoons chili sauce
- 23 cup tomatoes, canned
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/4 cup pearl barley
- 1 x salt and black pepper to taste
- Saute beef, onion, celery and green pepper.
- Pour off fat and stir in rest of the ingredients and bring to a boil then turn down heat and simmer until barley is cooked.
