Fragrant Chinese Style Grilled Chicken with Green Onion Oil
- 300 grams Chicken thigh meat from a young chicken
- 1 generous amount Grated ginger
- 1 generous amount Grated garlic
- 1 dash Salt and pepper
- 2 tbsp Green onion oil (or sesame oil if you don't have onion oil)
- 20 to 30 Sichuan peppercorns
- 1 Salt
- 1 Black pepper
- 1 Thin green onions or scallions
- Cut the sinews of the chicken thigh meat.
- Mix the ingredients together and rub into the chicken.
- Leave to marinate for 20 minutes.
- Crush the Sichuan peppercorns lightly.
- Grill or bake the marinated chicken in the upper part of the oven, to let it brown nicely.
- Watch it so that it doesn't burn.
- Slice the cooked chicken and transfer to a serving plate.
- Adjust the seasoning with the crushed Sichuan peppers, salt and black pepper.
- Garnish with chopped green onion and it's done.
