Balsamic Glazed Salmon Fillets
- 4 whole Fresh Salmon Fillets
- Freshly Ground Black Pepper, To Taste
- 1/4 cups Balsamic Vinegar
- 1 Tablespoon Freshly Squeezed Lemon Juice
- 2 Tablespoons Tap Water
- 3 Tablespoons Packed Dark Brown Sugar
- 1 teaspoon Chipotle Tabasco Sauce
- Add all of the ingredients for the glaze together in a non-reactive bowl and stir until all of the sugar has dissolved.
- Set aside.
- Rinse the salmon fillets and pat dry with paper towels.
- Season both sides of the salmon with freshly ground black pepper.
- Place the salmon fillets into a large pan and cook on medium heat for approximately 25 minutes.
- Whilst the salmon is cooking, with a pastry brush, brush a little of the glaze onto each side of the fillets before you flip them over.
- Keep repeating this process until the salmon is cooked.
- You should end up with a darkened sticky, slightly crispy glaze on either side of the fillets.
- Once the salmon is cooked, remove it from the pan and place on your serving plates.
- Pour the remainder of the glaze into the pan and cook on low for a few minutes, stirring continuously.
- Remove from the heat and drizzle a small amount over each fillet.
- Serve immediately with green beans and new potatoes.
