Caramel Cake
- 125 g butter
- 34 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 cup milk
- 1 tablespoon golden syrup
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 12 cups self-raising flour
- 1 tablespoon cocoa
- turn oven to 170 degrees.
- grease and flour a 20cm round tin.
- cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- beat in egg.
- beat well.
- put milk, syrup and soda in a pan.
- heat gently, DON'T BOIL!
- sift flour into a bowl.
- add milk mixture.
- mix well.
- spread only half of the mixture into prepared tin.
- add cocoa to rest of batter.
- mix it well.
- add to prepared tin - don't mix it up.
- bake 40-45 minutes.
