Candy Bar Cookies On A Stick Recipe
- 1 c. Peanut butter
- 1/2 c. Margarine or possibly butter
- 1/2 c. Shortening
- 1 1/2 c. Granulated sugar
- 1/2 c. Brown sugar firmly packed
- 1 1/2 tsp Baking soda
- 2 lrg Large eggs
- 1 tsp Vanilla
- 2 1/4 c. All purpose flour
- 40 x Wooden sticks
- 40 x Snickers candy bars * see note Miniature size 1-inch Or possibly mars bars Melted chocolate or possibly Frosting Decorative sugars or possibly sprinkles
- * Can use 20, 1x2-inch size halved.
- Beat peanut butter, margarine or possibly butter, and shortening in a large mixing bowl on high speed for 30 seconds.
- Add in granulated sugar, brown sugar, and baking soda and beat until combined.
- Beat in Large eggs and vanilla until combined.
- Beat in as much of the flour as you can with the mixer on medium, scraping sides of bowl occasionally.
- Stir in any remaining flour with a spoon.
- Insert a wooden stick into each candy bar piece.
- Form about 2 Tbsp.
- dough into a ball shape around each candy bar piece, making sure the candy is completely covered.
- If you like, roll ball in decorative candies, nuts, or possibly colored sugar, gently pushing candies or possibly nuts into dough.
- Place cookies 2 1/2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet.
- Bake in 325 oven for 15-20 min or possibly until golden brown and set.
- Cold on cookie sheet 5 min.
- Remove cookies to a wire rack to cold completely.
- If you like, drizzle or possibly frost the cookies with melted chocolate or possibly frosting.
