Homemade Croutons
- 1 cup vegetable oil
- 2 teaspoons dried Italian seasoning
- 1 12 teaspoons lemon pepper
- 1 12 teaspoons ground black pepper
- 14 teaspoon dried oregano, crumbled
- 10 slices white bread, cut into 1 inch squares
- garlic salt
- Preheat oven to 350F
- Combine the oil, Italian seasoning, lemon pepper, black pepper, and oregano in a squeeze bottle and shake well to combine.
- Place bread on a baking sheet and season lightly with garlic salt.
- Squeeze on some of the oil and toss.
- Bake for 15 to 20 minutes or until the bread starts to turn lightly golden.
- Remove from the oven, toss the bread, and squeeze on a little more oil if needed.
- Return to oven and continue baking until the croutons are dry and golden.
- Let cool completely and store in an airtight container.
- Any leftover oil can be saved for your next batch of croutons.
