- 1/2 a stalk Green onions
- 1 Egg
- 1 tsp each Katakuriko Soy Sauce Sugar
- 1/2 a cube Soup stock
- 100 ml Water
- 1 dash over 2 tablespoons each Soy Sauce Sugar Sake Vinegar
- 1 Katakuriko slurry
- In a large bowl, combine the meatball ingredients and knead.
- Once mixed, round into balls and coat with katakuriko (not listed) and fry in heated oil.
- Adjust the size of the meatballs to your liking.
- If each of them is small, you can make more, and they're perfect for bento lunch boxes.
- It's nice to make them smaller for your kids too!
- Next place the ingredients under Sweet and Sour Sauce, except for the mixture listed as , in a large pot.
- Once this starts to simmer, add the meatballs from Step 1.
- Simmer for about a minute, then pour in the mixture to thicken, and stir your meatballs around.
- All done!
- They're good fresh off the stove, but even more delicious after around 30 minutes, when the flavors have settled in.
- Mix in chopped carrots or bell peppers along with the green onions, and you can covertly improve your family's veggie intake.
