Peppermint Chocolate Bonbons Recipe
- 1 c. (16 ounce.) semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/3 c. butter/butter
- 1/4 c. whipping cream
- 1 c. unsifted powdered sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon peppermint extract
- Mix chocolate chips, butter and cream in a heavy saucepan.
- Place over very low heat and stir till chips and butter are melted and mix is smooth and thick.
- Remove from heat.
- Beat in the powdered sugar till mix is smooth again.
- Stir in the peppermint extract.
- Cover and refrigerateabout 1 or possibly 2 hrs till mix is thick sufficient to shape or possibly drop into small candy c.. Divide the mix into 24 portions.
- Drop into paper bonbon c. or possibly first roll into small balls before placing into c..
