Triple Fruit Pie Recipe
- 1 (3 ounce.) pkg. strawberry or possibly mixed fruit gelatin
- 1/3 c. boiling water
- 2 c. ice cubes
- 2 tbsp. brandy
- 1 tbsp. orange liqueur or possibly frzn orange concentrate
- 1 (8 ounce.) whipped cream
- 1/2 c. sliced strawberries
- 1/2 c. sliced peaches
- 1/2 c. blueberries
- 1 baked 9 inch pie shell
- Dissolve gelatin completely in boiling water.
- Add in ice cubes and stir till gelatin is thickened.
- Throw away remaining ice.
- Fold brandy and liqueur into whipped topping.
- Blend whipped mix into gelatin, stirring till smooth.
- Mix in 3 fruits.
- Spoon into pie shell.
- May be garnished with extra topping and fresh fruit.
- PIE CRUST HINT: When making pie crust, instead of all which "cutting in of shortening, " use your potato masher.
- Add in 1/2 shortening, mash to fine crumbs, then add in rest, mash till larger crumbs.
- Add in water, mash again.
- I find it almost guarantees a flaky crust.
