Flora's pop can burgers
- 1 lb ground beef
- 4 strips of bacon
- 2 dashes worchestershire sauce
- 1 salt and pepper to taste
- 1 SautASed onions
- 1 SautASed bell peppers
- 1 Jalepenos
- 1 Bacon
- 1 Mushrooms
- 1 Cheese
- Begin by placing your meat in a bowl.
- Then add the whorchestire sauce and salt and pepper.
- (I used a hickory smoked salt and a little bit of Chicago steak seasoning too).
- After it is mixed form the meat into two similar size balls.
- Using a can of pop, beer, heck even a can of corn would work, punch the can through the center of the burger and then form the patty around the can
- Wrap bacon around the patty then slowly pull the can out.
- You will be left with a hole, in this hole you can stuff anything you desire inside.
- I stuffed mine with peppers and onions and my husbands with jalepenos and bacon
- Bake at 350 for about an hour, when the burgers are done and the bacon has cooked, top with shredded cheese.
- (You can also do this on the grill, covered over indirect heat)
- Serve up with your favorite toppings!
- This is good over mashed potatoes or just on a bun with your favorite side.
